There are those rare occasions in life that bad things happen, and what seems like a bad day can turn into something special.
While at work yesterday I received a phone call from a fellow NNer that I have known for a couple of years. She was xxxxxx to cut a trip to the west coast short due to some major douchebaggery by her host. Her short notice flight home was canceled and she was xxxxxx to fly into Phx, stay the night, and fly out super early this morning to get home. Needless to say, not a fun day for her in the least. We decided that although the situation was not ideal for our first meet, that we could not pass the opportunity up.
She landed, got her bag, and got her shuttle and hotel squared away. I drove to the hotel and parked just a few minuted before her shuttle pulled up. I caught just the top of her head as she exited the van and went into the lobby. Truthfully, my heart began to race as i opened the car door and made my way to the door. A huge smile wrapped around my face as i saw her through the glass.
I opened the door, walked up next to her and said hi. She said hello back, we casually spoke about the events of the day as we waited for the clerk to finish up with another stranded traveler.
She got the room key, we went to the elevator, and made our way to her room. Once there she dropped her bag, took off her shoes, and resumed talking about the events of the day. I walked over to her, turned her towards me and gave her a big hug. I had been waiting for this moment for a long time. It felt so good to finally hold her in my arms. We sat on the bed and talked for a while. After changing into some comfy clothes she said her back was sore and asked if I would give her a back rub.
I rubbed her back as we talked some more. I couldn't believe how much more beautiful she was in person and how absolutely gorgeous her eyes were.
She had to be up early, as did I, so we reluctantly said goodnight with a long hug. I couldn't help myself, so I let out a low, joyous sigh while we embraced. We let go said goodnight, but I turned back for one more hug(yes i let out another sigh), let go once more. As I went for the door, u turned back once again, placed my hand on her cheek, said "come here" and pulled her towards me. I kissed her on the cheek and said goodnight for one last time.
All the way home I smiled and thought to myself just how lucky I was to have had the opportunity to see her.
As we all know, there are a lot of people on here that just want to hook up for sex. For those of us who have really put the time in and made true friends, last night is a prime example of what it is all about.
I saw asked not to mention her name in public so the trolls would leave her alone. Some of you, by now have figured out who I am talking about. I ask you please, do not post your guesses. Those are best left to private communications.
* A special note to the stranded traveler*
Sweetheart, I truly enjoyed our time together last night. I am honored that you trusted me enough to let me be one of the special few who have met you in person. 2 hours, in my opinion, was not nearly long enough. I hope I get the opportunity to see you again...and if I do...it wont be soon enough.
